Job Role: Project Engineer

Job Description:
The Project Engineer will be involved in supervising and supporting construction projects, coordinating with different departments, assisting in material procurement, and maintaining project records. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Freshers will receive guidance and training from senior staff to gradually take on independent responsibilities. The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn project execution in a shipbuilding/construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Support & Supervision: Assist in overseeing construction projects to ensure timely and quality execution.
• Site Feasibility Checks: Help in reviewing drawings and conducting site feasibility assessments under guidance.
• Material Procurement: Support the manager and store manager in inspecting materials on arrival; flag any deviations to the purchase team.
• Resource Coordination: Assist in allocation of daily wages and subcontractors based on project milestones.
• Work Updates: Share daily work progress with photos on Teams channels (morning and evening updates).
• Material Tracking: Help maintain records of material consumption through a track log.
• Reports & Documentation: Prepare work completion certificates and consolidation reports with guidance.
• Quality Control: Assist with Internal Quality Control (IQC) surveys and external inspections by IRS/KIV/other bodies.
• Communication: Support in explaining work scope, quality, and timelines to subcontractors and FRP staff.
• Planning & Reporting: Plan weekly tasks with the Assistant Manager, submit daily reports to site managers, and maintain subcontractor time sheets.
• Work Area Maintenance: Ensure work areas are cleaned at the end of each day.
• Meetings: Participate in project and design meetings to contribute to planning.
• Manpower Planning: Share weekly manpower needs with the purchase department.

Requirements:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience may apply).
• Strong interest in project management and supervision.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to maintain records and assist in report preparation.

Salary Range: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month.
