Maldives – Resort Construction Project

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction team for a prestigious resort development in the Maldives. The role involves coordinating engineering activities, supervising site execution, and ensuring that construction works meet design, quality, and safety standards while supporting the contractor’s commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution

Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors during construction.

  • Coordination

Liaise with project managers, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Quality & Safety

Ensure works are executed in line with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.

Conduct inspections and verify that construction meets contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and technical documentation.

Assist in preparing method statements, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

  • Planning & Scheduling

Support project planning and scheduling activities to meet milestones.

Monitor progress and highlight potential delays or risks to management.

  • Problem-Solving

Identify technical challenges and propose practical solutions to maintain project efficiency.

Support value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Project Engineer in large-scale construction projects, preferably hospitality or resort developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and international standards.
  • Hands-on experience in site supervision, technical coordination, and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote island environments and multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • minimum: 10 years (Preferred)

Language:
