Responsibilities: 1. Managing and controlling all the companys external suppliers; Ensure equipment is bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for deployment; Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers (probably turnkey including design) who are aligned to the company's needs. 2. Role & responsibilities: * As Project Engineer, he/she is responsible to prepare and maintain project wise tracking sheets to provide clear and accurate information on project status on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to Production Manager. * The Project Engineer will utilize a project management software such as Trello, Primavera, or MS Project to track all project activities. He shall provide a project schedule at the start of the project. He will also maintain a Project Tracking Sheet for detail or event-based tracking. The schedule is to be updated on a weekly basis and the tracking sheet daily. The metrics to be reported included percentage completion, on-track performance, and cost to budget for all outsource activities. Preferred candidate profile: The Project Engineer will review the outsourcing requirements for each project based on inputs from Production (what part of the project can be executed in house). Upon receiving such inputs, he/she will prepare a detailed plan of outsourcing in conjunction with Deputy Manager SCM. The PE will support the SCM Department in providing data to the suppliers/vendors in the proper format, replying to supplier/vendor technical queries such as quantity, dimensional, material questions. The PE will follow up with vendors and provide technical answers to their queries as required during manufacturing. The PE will assist the SCM Department to help in meeting project deadlines. The Project Engineer will liaise with Production, SCM, Quality and suppliers in a seamless fashion for timely execution of all projects. The PE will bring to the notice of the Production Manager of any such incidence or event that negatively impacts customer delivery or quality. The PE will forecast issues that may impact budget and delivery and inform Plant Head immediately of the same. The PE will assist Quality/SCM Department in taking corrective actions to fix supplier quality issues. The PE will prepare and execute contingency plans to meet customer deadlines.
