Job Description

In collaboration with Project Managers,On-Time, In-Full Delivery of all projects to scope and budget, achievingcustomer approval and on-time billing: get it Done-done
Work with Project Managers to define and thencomplete all actions required to deliver projects and achieve customeracceptance, including:
o Planning what tasks need to be completed, bywhen
o Project budgets and budget management ensuring the right costs are allocated to the right customer-project accounts
o Procurement raising & issuing POs andensuring delivery of goods / services / software; approving POs and resolvinginvoice-PO exceptions
o Booking in with 3 rd party suppliersfor the on-time provision of goods / services / software / connectivity etc.
Ensuring all components required for a projectare available and in the right location when needed (physical & virtual)
o Prioritising and scheduling by value as theover-riding principle
o Using and updating Kanban Queues as required
Input to project management documents asrequired e.g. Gantt charts, Project Definition or Initiation documents /SOWs, RAID logs, etc. (tbd)
Proactively identify and report on risks andissues at project level - analyse,propose and complete appropriate mitigation actions
Develop strong colleague and 3 rd party supplier relationships - ensureproactive communications with integrity to facilitate progress and managenecessary input and action
Participate in the completion ofPost-Implementation-Reviews for larger projects and / or lessons learnedaspart of a philosophy of Kaizen (continuous improvement), learning andgrowth
Contribute to a high-performance teamculture within the Projects function, and company more generally, to deliverthe right solutions for our customers, leading to growth, retention andreputation

Requirements

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

  • Outstanding organisational skills; highly disciplined and motivated in the management of self and others to organise, pursue and complete all actions necessary to deliver a project to plan
  • Highly attentive to detail understands the importance of accuracy and completeness
  • A completer-finishergets things done
  • Proactive and pre-emptive communicator
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to work with a culturally diverse colleague and client base and to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships
  • Foundational level understanding of project management and IT projects a significant advantage
  • Foundational level skills in the use of accounting systems NetSuite knowledge a particular advantage

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • HND or similar in Project Management an advantage (Prince2, PMI, PMP)
  • HND or similar in accounting an advantage
  • Foundation qualifications in a continuous improvement methodology & practice Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile Development or similar an advantage
