Job Profile

The Project Associate - Green Maritime Operations will provide critical support in the execution of green shipping and ship recycling initiatives under the National Centre of Excellence for Green Ports and Shipping (NCoEGPS). This role is designed for technically inclined early-career professionals with a strong foundation in engineering, marine systems, or environmental studies, and a keen interest in India's maritime green transition.
The selected candidate will assist in data collection, field coordination, operational documentation, and pilot implementation activities related to low-carbon ports, green tugs, sustainable ship recycling, and the circular economy. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role suited for a technically sound and organised individual.

Experience

1 - 2 Years

Qualification

Master-s degree in any of the following (preferred):
Marine Engineering Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Nuclear Technology Environmental Engineering or Technology Naval Architecture Energy & Environment Ocean/Port Infrastructure Planning Other degree holders in relevant technical fields may also apply

Skills

Strong understanding of maritime operations- port systems- or vessel engineering
Exposure to sustainability and environmental practices in the shipping/marine domain Proficiency in MS Excel- project documentation- and technical report drafting Familiarity with national/international frameworks such as MARPOL Annexes- IMO GHG Strategy- or EIA procedures is a plus Ability to work independently and manage coordination with multi-stakeholder teams Willingness to travel for field visits- audits- or site assessments
