Project And Service Engineer

PRole & responsibilities

Installation & Setup

• Lead installation of machinery and equipment as per project plan and technical drawings.
  
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders for smooth site preparation and setup.
  
• Ensure installations comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and client specifications.
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Single Line Diagrams (SLD), control circuit diagrams, pneumatic circuit diagrams, cable schedules, P&IDs, and layouts.
  
• Proactively coordinate, procure, and inspect materials, parts, and equipment to ensure availability and quality.
  

Commissioning & Testing

• Perform commissioning activities including functionality tests, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  
• Ensure equipment operates within specified parameters and complies with safety & performance standards.
  
• Address issues during commissioning and propose corrective actions.
  
• Commission hydraulic power packs, vacuum pumps, and other systems as per requirement.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed reports on installation and commissioning activities, including daily logs, testing protocols, and calibration results.
  
• Document deviations from standard processes and escalate to Service Manager.
  
• Prepare and hand over as-built drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to clients.
  

Client Interaction

• Act as the primary point of contact during installation and commissioning phases.
  
• Provide client teams with training and technical support for smooth operations.
  
• Address client concerns effectively and provide technical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  

Maintenance & Service Support

• Provide post-installation support including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  
• Assist in periodic inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of installed equipment.
  
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty services, spare parts, and repairs.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  installation, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment

  .
• Ability to interpret

  engineering drawings and technical documentation

  .
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong communication and client-handling abilities.
  
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, vacuum pumps, and electrical/electronic systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client management.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  
• Willingness to travel to client sites, including overseas, as required.
  
• Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards related to machinery installation.
  
• Strong understanding of

  mechanical, electrical, and control systems

  .
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience with

  static and rotary equipment

  (pumps, mixers, compressors, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering

• 46 years of experience in

  project execution and service engineering

  .
• Experience in machinery/equipment installation, commissioning, and after-sales support preferred.
