Lifeline Foundation, renowned for establishing India's first highway accident helpline number service, works at the cross-sector of emergency medical services (EMS), road safety and pre-hospital trauma care, ambulance services, occupational health, industrial EMS and training of healthcare professionals, communities, bystanders and healthcare workers in first responder skills, across India. Lifeline is a training centre recognised by DISH for First Aid Training and for Safety Training under the Factories Act. It is also an international centre for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support courses. It also operates a Medical Appliances Bank, which rents out medical appliances to patients at minimal charges.

A. To be a Trainer for all community, industrial and healthcare training programs

  1. To train participants on various topics of First Aid, Safety, Basic Life Support®, Occupational Healthcare, Trauma, Home Health Care, primary trauma care, etc
  2. To supervise trainees during hands-on sessions of other trainers
  3. To provide induction training and refresher training to field staff, including drivers and paramedics
  4. To work for the furtherance of training programs by contacting clients and enabling the conducting of various trainings


B. To take care of the training documentation, material management and other logistical processes involved in setting up, conducting and completing the training programs

  1. To complete the documentation processes of the training conducted and maintain systematic records as required
  2. To take care of all the training equipment and materials in charge of the Training Department, and supervise the maintenance of the same
  3. To be responsible for the implementation of all training programs


C. To be involved in any other projects, programs or initiatives that we will be conducting from time to time


Educational qualifications and experience:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants with undergraduate in healthcare sciences, such as MBBS, BHMS, DHMS, BAMS, BDS, BPT or Nursing will be preferred
  • Applicants with an undergraduate or postgraduate in all branches of sciences, life sciences, biology, social work, public health, communication, languages or education can also apply
  • Applicants with a background in Environmental Health and Safety may also apply
  • However, candidates with other backgrounds with an interest in health education and education and a passion to save lives are also very welcome to apply. 


We have training-of-the-trainer modules that equip and skill new joinees before they are expected to train people.


Expectations

Candidates MUST

  • Be a fast learner; learning, unlearning and relearning are key to being a good trainer
  • Have strong presentation skills

  • Have strong communication skills and command over English and Hindi/Gujarati

  • Not have any stage fright
  • Be able to interact with varied target groups
  • Be a very good team player
  • Be willing to take up newer responsibilities and roles in different activities of the organisation as and when required
  • Be open to and willing to travel across the country
  • Candidates must have a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience of having used different digital platforms like Cisco WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams, etc. would be preferred
  • The ability to design creative content for mass media will also be appreciated


Health Criteria:

  • Candidates must be fit and healthy. Our training programs will require the trainers to train in CPR and other hands-on sessions, which will require them to stand for hours (with breaks) for taking sessions. Program Officers will also be required to travel long distances for long projects (spanning a minimum of 2 days to at times 8-12 days, in safe conditions). Therefore, a candidate must have good stamina and good health to be able to do all of these.
  • Persons with health issues like cardiac, lower back (spine), and knee joint problems may not apply.
  • Persons with any other health issues that would restrict them from travelling, material handling, standing up for hours or working on computers and laptops throughout the day, may not apply.
