Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site, temporary contract position for a Program Manager (technical) located in Delhi, India. IIT Delhi carries out a large number of sponsored research projects that are managed by the office of the Dean (Research and Development). The Program Manager will be responsible for identifying research opportunities, conducting workshops with potential funding agencies and faculty members, identifying areas of interest, and facilitating faculty members in applying for the projects. Also, the Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating various initiatives taken by the Office of the Dean (R&D), such as student research projects, running of the centres of excellence, and other large projects. Additional responsibilities include helping in policy formulation and implementation, training, and coordinating various activities with other administrative offices.

Qualifications

• PhD in an emerging area of science/engineering/technology from a reputed institute with international research exposure (Alternatively, a combination of technical and management degrees with international exposure)
• Experience in Research Project Management and Coordination skills
• Accounting and Management Skills
• Excellent Communication and writing skills
• Problem-solving and Process Improvement skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
