Key Responsibilities

Research & Scholarship

• Conduct cutting-edge research in computer science with demonstrated impact through peer-reviewed publications
• Secure external funding through grants and research contracts
• Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
• Collaborate with industry partners and other academic institutions
• Present research findings at national and international conferences

Teaching & Education

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science
• Develop innovative curriculum and instructional methods
• Supervise doctoral dissertations and master's theses
• Participate in academic program development and assessment
• Integrate current research trends into classroom instruction

Service & Leadership

• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
• Participate in peer review processes for journals and conferences
• Contribute to professional organizations and editorial boards
• Engage in community outreach and public service activities
• Mentor junior faculty members

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field
• Minimum 8-10 years of post-doctoral experience in academia or industry
• Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact venues
• Demonstrated success in securing research funding
• Evidence of effective teaching at the university level

Technical Expertise

• Expertise in one or more core areas of computer science (e.g., algorithms, systems, AI/ML, cybersecurity, software engineering, data science)
• Programming proficiency in multiple languages
• Understanding of current industry trends and emerging technologies
• Experience with interdisciplinary research collaborations

Leadership & Communication

• Proven leadership experience in academic or professional settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Experience in international research collaborations preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as Associate Professor or equivalent
• Industry experience in technology companies
• Patent holdings or technology transfer experience
• Fluency in multiple programming paradigms
• Experience with online and hybrid teaching modalities
• Record of successful grant management
