Job Summary:

The Production & QC Engineer will be responsible for managing daily production operations and ensuring

product quality in the manufacturing of pipe extrusion machinery. The role combines hands-on production

supervision with quality assurance responsibilities, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to ISO and

industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise production activities for HDPE pipe extrusion machine components.

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.

• Monitor production parameters (temperature, pressure, RPM, etc.) and maintain logs.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues during production.

• Coordinate with design and maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.

• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices to improve shop floor efficiency.

• Maintain production documentation (daily reports, shift logs, machine utilization data).

Quality Control Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies.

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality checklists, and test certificates.

• Ensure adherence to material and component specifications (using Vernier, Micrometer, hardness tester,

bore gauge etc.)

• Analyze defects, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Coordinate with suppliers for incoming material inspection and quality assurance.

• Maintain calibration records of inspection instruments.

• Support ISO 9001:2015 quality management documentation and audits

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

• Experience: 3-5 years (preferred in plastic extrusion or machinery manufacturing).

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of extrusion processes and machinery.

• Familiar with mechanical assembly, welding, and machining processes.

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measuring instruments.

• Understanding of quality standards and process control systems.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving attitude.
