Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Production Planning & Load Balancing

Develop weekly/monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, pending orders, and current inventory.
Allocate production across in-house plants and job workers by analyzing capacity, lead times, and material availability.
Liaise with SCM for raw material inward flow and reallocate stock dynamically to meet targets.

Inventory & Material Coordination

Monitor and analyze WIP, raw materials, and finished goods inventory across multiple sites.
Prevent stockouts and overproduction through continuous review of inventory health.
Collaborate with procurement to raise timely material requirements and ensure smooth material flow to contractors.

Contractor & Plant Planning Management

Maintain real-time dashboards of job work: workloads, pending items, delays, and completions.
Identify and address production delays promptly; re-plan in case of material or capacity constraints.
Ensure timely and accurate ERP entries by SCM/PPC teams reporting to you.

Reporting & Forecasting

Develop and maintain a master dashboard to monitor plan vs actual, stock status, contractor workload, and dispatch readiness.
Align with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) weekly to capture demand fluctuations and reschedule production accordingly.
Track fast and slow-moving products and adjust capacity planning to optimize throughput.

System Building & SOP Creation

Design and implement SOPs for production planning with defined TATs across functions.
Partner with IT/ERP teams to automate planning tools and reports for efficiency.
Mentor and train junior PPC/SCM team members for long-term scalability of the planning function.
