Production Merchandiser ( Athleisure / Activity apparel)

Role Overview

Responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle. Vital link between the design team, vendors, and factories, ensuring that quality, timelines, and costing align with Vector X brand standards.

Education- NIFT (Merchandising) or a Relevant Degree in Apparel Merchandising, Production.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Coordination: Manage the Time & Action (TNA) calendar for each style and ensure timely approvals and deliveries across all stages of production.

• Vendor & Supplier Management: Liaise with vendors and factories to ensure material availability, quality standards, and adherence to production timelines.

• Costing & Negotiation: Work on product costing, fabric consumption, and vendor negotiations to ensure profitability and margin alignment.

• Quality Oversight: Collaborate with the quality team to ensure all products meet the quality standards, both during sampling and final production.

• Inventory Coordination: Track raw material requirements, monitor consumption, and coordinate with warehouse or production partners for stock planning.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed reports on production status, timelines, vendor performance, and costing.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales, design, sourcing, warehouse, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of Product Line drops.

Skill Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production merchandising, preferably Athleisure.

• Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, costing, and vendor ecosystems in a multi-vendor Production environment.

• Proficiency in using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and production planning software.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
