Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Manager for the Machine Shop to oversee daily operations across CNC, VMC, HMC, Grinding, and Induction Hardening lines. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are met efficiently with a focus on quality, machine utilization, manpower planning, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in alignment with customer delivery requirements.
• Supervise operations across CNC, VMC, HMC, Induction Hardening, and Grinding processes.
• Monitor machine utilization, cycle time, and productivity KPIs and drive improvements.
• Ensure daily manpower planning, shift scheduling, and task allocation for operators and supervisors.
• Review and resolve production bottlenecks and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the Quality department to ensure in-process and final product quality standards are maintained.
• Oversee tooling, fixtures, job setup, and material availability to ensure smooth production flow.
• Lead daily production meetings and report progress, challenges, and improvement plans to senior management.
• Maintain shop floor discipline, 5S, and ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing practices and support cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure timely training and skill enhancement for operators and technicians.

Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production Engineering
• Experience: 7+ years in machine shop production
• Strong working knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC, Induction Hardening, and Grinding machines
• Familiarity with TPM, Lean, Kaizen, and shop floor management systems
• Ability to handle a team of 40–60 operators and supervisors
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹640,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
