Production Manager - Mattress Industry

A Production Manager in the mattress industry oversees the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products, managing staff, optimizing production, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety, and coordinating with departments like procurement and logistics to meet production targets and company goals. Key responsibilities include production planning, process improvement, team leadership, inventory control, and reporting on production metrics. Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet demand and deadlines.
• Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve production processes for increased efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Team Management: Supervise, lead, train, and evaluate production staff and supervisors to achieve peak performance.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and implement quality control programs.
• Inventory & Materials Management: Manage raw material inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability for production.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficiency.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment and comply with regulations.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics, to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze production data, creating reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to inform senior management.
