Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager – Designer Poles & Lights (Manufacturing)Job Summary:

The Production Manager will oversee the complete manufacturing process of designer poles, street lights, decorative lights, and related metal fabrication products. The role requires strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, lighting assembly, and quality control, along with the ability to manage manpower, production planning, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:Production & Process Management

• Plan, supervise, and execute daily production operations for designer poles, lighting fixtures, and customized fabrication jobs.
• Ensure proper workflow across fabrication, welding, machining, powder coating, assembly, and final inspection.
• Monitor production timelines and ensure projects are completed within deadlines.
• Optimize material usage, reduce wastage, and improve production efficiency.

Technical & Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to design specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
• Inspect fabrication work, weld quality, dimensions, finishing, and lighting assembly accuracy.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams for feasibility, changes, and technical clarifications.
• Maintain quality control procedures for poles, brackets, lighting components, and accessories.

Team & Resource Management

• Lead and supervise production staff, welders, fabricators, painters, and assembly workers.
• Implement training, allocate work, and monitor performance of team members.
• Manage shift planning, workforce allocation, and discipline inside the factory.

Inventory & Coordination

• Coordinate with purchase and store departments for raw materials, consumables, and accessories.
• Ensure availability of tubes, sheets, fittings, lighting components, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Maintain production records, daily reports, and MIS documentation.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safe working practices, use of PPE, and adherence to factory safety norms.
• Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment in good working condition.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 7–12 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal fabrication, lighting products, or designer poles industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding (MIG/TIG), powder coating, assembly, and inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production sheets.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Computer literacy for production reporting and documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
