Production Manager

Role Overview:

The Production Head will lead and manage the entire production function, ensuring smooth execution of machining, planning, and delivery activities. The role requires strong expertise in CNC/VMC operations, production planning & control (PPC), machining processes, and managing teams to meet quality and delivery expectations.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end

  production operations

  including CNC, VMC, milling, and turning processes.
• Develop and implement

  production plans, schedules, and resource allocation

  to meet customer delivery timelines.
• Oversee

  PPC activities

  planning, loading, scheduling, and monitoring production progress.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, tools, manpower, and materials.
• Review machining programs, cycle times, and optimize processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to machining, tools, fixtures, and machine capability.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance departments for smooth workflow.
• Ensure adherence to

  AS9100, ISO 9001

  , and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) across the shopfloor.
• Monitor production metrics (OEE, rejection trends, output, idle time) and present periodic reports.
• Lead manpower planning, skill development, and shopfloor discipline.
• Ensure machines are calibrated, maintained, and operated as per safety and operational standards.

Skills Required

• Strong hands-on knowledge of

  CNC machining, VMC, milling, and turning operations

  .
• Experience with

  various CNC/VMC machine controllers

  , including ( FANUC, Seimens, Heidenhain, Haas, Mill Plus)
• Good understanding of machining parameters, tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and fixture concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T.
• Expertise in production planning, workflow optimization, and capacity planning.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
