Production Manager

Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations of electrical control panel manufacturing. This includes planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and manage daily production activities in the panel assembly and wiring departments.
• Ensure control panels are manufactured as per technical drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with design, purchase, and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow and resource availability.
• Monitor production timelines and adjust workloads and priorities as necessary to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process by enforcing company and industry best practices.
• Implement and monitor 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and machinery/equipment issues.
• Supervise and guide team leaders, technicians, and assembly workers; manage manpower allocation.
• Maintain production records, daily reports, and production tracking systems.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the store and procurement departments for material availability.
• Support the testing and inspection process for panels before dispatch.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical panel manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of LT/HT control panels, MCC, PCC, APFC, AMF, and synchronizing panels.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Proficient in production planning and team management.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

• Exposure to ISO 9001 and related quality systems.
• Experience in handling OEM or project-based panel manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
