Production Head

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Oversee the complete production cycle:

  woodwork → metal fabrication → painting → modular work → stone work → final assembly

  .
• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production to meet targets and timelines.
• Ensure smooth coordination across all manufacturing departments.

Process Optimization

• Identify gaps in existing processes and implement improvements for faster, cost-effective, and quality-driven production.
• Introduce lean practices and workflow optimization to reduce wastage and increase output.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor supervisors, operators, and technical teams.
• Monitor manpower allocation, productivity, and discipline on the shop floor.
• Train teams on quality standards, safety norms, and new processes.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all finished products meet company quality standards and client specifications.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and factory norms.
• Conduct regular quality audits and troubleshoot bottlenecks.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Manage contractors and outsourced teams handling specialised tasks.
• Coordinate with B2B partners and external fabrication/finishing units when required.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
• Track material usage, wastage, and machine utilisation.
• Recommend and implement

  CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)

  for operational challenges.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 10–15 years of experience

  in furniture manufacturing (mandatory).
• Strong exposure to

  multi-stage production

  : wood, metal, painting, modular, stone.
• Experience with

  leading furniture brands

  preferred (Godrej/Usha/Featherlite/etc.).
• Proven capability to optimize processes and achieve production targets.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent understanding of machinery, materials, and modern manufacturing methods.
