Production Engineer

As a Wiring Harness Design Engineer at Acoem India, your primary role will involve designing and developing wiring harnesses and related components based on project specifications and requirements. This includes creating detailed schematics, diagrams, and engineering drawings using CAD software. Your collaboration with design and engineering teams will be essential in developing prototypes and validating designs. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and manage the production process for wiring harnesses, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. - Develop and implement production procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to wiring harnesses and associated components. - Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on wiring harnesses to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. - Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and performance. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of design specifications, production processes, and quality control records. - Prepare and present reports on production performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless production operations. Adhering to Acoem India's policies and relevant health, safety, and environmental acts and regulations is crucial in performing your duties efficiently and diligently. You will report to the Plant Manager and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders including R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, etc. across Acoem. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering. - Proven experience in wiring harness design, development, and production. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools. - Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to wiring harnesses. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
