Product Manager

The Product Manager – Sanitaryware & Faucets is responsible for driving product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for the sanitaryware and faucet product categories. The role involves deep market understanding, competitive analysis, product planning, and working closely with R&D, design, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality, market-relevant products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute long-term product roadmaps for sanitaryware and faucet categories.
• Identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for new product development.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to guide product decisions.

2. Product Development & Lifecycle Management

• Collaborate with R&D, design, and engineering teams to develop innovative, high-quality products.
• Define product specifications, features, pricing, and positioning.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle—from concept, development, testing, and launch to phase-out.
• Monitor product performance and recommend improvements or discontinuations.

3. Market & Competitive Analysis

• Track industry trends, emerging technologies, designs, and materials in sanitaryware and faucets.
• Conduct pricing analysis and maintain competitive positioning in the market.
• Gather insights from customers, dealers, distributors, and architects.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with marketing to develop product launch plans, sales tools, and promotional materials.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery.
• Support sales teams with product knowledge training and technical guidance.

5. Financial & Performance Management

• Prepare business cases, profitability analysis, and forecasts for new and existing products.
• Monitor product margins, cost structures, and pricing strategies.
• Drive initiatives to improve product profitability and reduce costs.

6. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure products meet industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues and maintain product reliability.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Business, or related fields.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• 3–8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in sanitaryware, faucets, ceramics, building materials, or consumer durable categories.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technical aspects of sanitaryware/faucets.
