Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in developing annual marketing plans and brand strategies.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify product opportunities.
  • Support product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategy.

2. Marketing & Promotional Activities

  • Develop promotional inputs such as visual aids (VA), leave-behind literature (LBL), brand reminders, campaign materials, etc.
  • Coordinate with creative agencies for designing and printing of promotional collaterals.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, CMEs, webinars, and other brand-building activities.

3. Sales Team Support

  • Provide timely product training and updates to the field force.
  • Prepare product manuals, training modules, and brand presentations.
  • Gather feedback from the field team and analyze product performance.

4. Product Life-Cycle Management

  • Monitor stock levels, product demand, and forecasts to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assist in new product launches including content development, packaging coordination, and communication planning.

5. Medical & Scientific Content

  • Work with the medical team to develop accurate scientific content, product monographs, and clinical briefs.
  • Stay updated with recent clinical studies and therapeutic advancements.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with supply chain, regulatory, design agencies, sales teams, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely execution of marketing activities and project deliverables.

7. Performance Monitoring

  • Track brand performance through sales data, market research, and competitor analysis.
  • Support in preparing MIS reports and performance dashboards.

Skills Required

  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical products and therapeutic segments.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Basic knowledge of medical/scientific concepts.

Educational Qualification

  • B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc (Life Sciences)
  • MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory for 2–3 years' experience)
