Product Development Engineer- Seating

As a Product Development Engineer specializing in Seating Systems, your role involves a deep understanding of both system-level and component-level operations. Your responsibilities include: - Understanding cooling system and design requirements for various seating system components such as Seat structure, Mechanism, complete seat, OB/IB valance, Headrest, and seat mounting brackets. - Effectively communicating with customers and suppliers. - Selecting appropriate materials for different components. - Creating and reviewing parametric models using CATIA V5/DMU. - Utilizing PLM systems like Team Centre. - Benchmarking and providing innovative solutions for problems. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpreting CAE results, and proposing corrective actions. - Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the product development cycle for automotive vehicle programs. - Applying knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis. - Proficient in documents DFM/DFA/DFMEA. - Understanding test & validation processes (DVP). - Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Plastic moulding methods, Casting, and sheet metal. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should have the following qualifications: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - 8-12 years of experience in the field. - Proven project management capability with a track record of delivering projects within set time, cost, quality, and attribute targets. - Extensive experience in developing and integrating seating system components. - In-depth engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements. - Ability to manage and optimize costs through engineering knowledge and decision-making processes. - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence at all levels. - Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, and Word. - Experience with engineering tools such as FMEA, Agile, or Scrum (Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous).,
