Job Description

You will be joining BMC as a Java Product Developer, working on complex and distributed software products. As part of the Development team, your responsibilities will include developing and debugging software products, implementing features, and ensuring product quality. You will have the opportunity to work across product lines and interact with other BMC products. Your main goal will be to independently design and implement features that address customer needs within given timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute as a member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging software products. - Work on complex problems requiring an in-depth evaluation of several factors. - Design and implement features addressing customer needs with a sense of ownership. - Collaborate with the team to arrive at optimal solutions. - Conduct effective code reviews. - Utilize expertise in scalable and secure application design & development using Java 8 and above, Web Services, Springboot, and Microservices. - Familiarity with static code analyzers like Sonar for automated reviews. - Write code for GUI development using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript(ES6+). - Possess problem-solving skills, excellent debugging, and Performance Monitoring & Optimization skills. - Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented software development, and version control systems. - Experience in CI/CD environment with popular DevOps tools. - Experience in TDD (Test Driven Development). - Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies, and automation tools. - Knowledge of Gen AI will be a plus. **Qualifications Required:** - 8+ years of experience in scalable and secure application design & development as a Full Stack Developer. - Expertise in Java 8 and above, Web Services especially RESTful, Springboot, and Microservices. - Experience in GUI development using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript(ES6+). - Strong debugging and Performance Monitoring & Optimization skills. - Exposure to Architectural Concepts and collaborative problem-solving. - Knowledge of version control systems like Git and bitbucket. - Expertise in CI/CD environment with tools like Jenkins. - Experience in TDD, Agile methodologies, and automation tools. - Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and preferably with Playwright/Selenium. - Experience or knowledge in using VS Code. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies with Scrum and Kanban.
