We are seeking a highly driven
Manager Product Commercialization
to accelerate the growth of our Value Chain Chemistries (VCC) Business Unit
. The role will be central to identifying, developing, commercializing, and scaling molecules across multiple value chains such as Phosphorus, Bromine, Iodine, Pyridine, Boron, Phenol, Resorcinol, Orthoformates, Silicone
and new categories in the future. This role requires strong technical-commercial expertise, deep industry knowledge and the ability to work across R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, sales and customers to deliver a robust and sustainable product portfolio.
The candidate will be responsible for
end-to-end commercialization, technical feasibility, cost optimization and customer alignment
. Key Responsibilities
Product Commercialization & Scale-Up
- Lead the end-to-end commercialization of new molecules, from feasibility assessment to market launch.
- Drive technology transfers from lab/pilot to commercial facilities, ensuring quality, regulatory and safety compliance.
- Build scalability plans for each molecule to support large-volume adoption.
Value Chain Development
- Expand product portfolios within each value chain, targeting 20+ molecules/products per category.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to add new molecules aligned with customer and market needs.
- Identify gaps in the current portfolio and propose commercialization strategies to address them.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with R&D, sourcing, and manufacturing partners to align specifications and scale-up.
- Collaborate with sales and business teams to prioritize opportunities and ensure market readiness.
- Act as the bridge between internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
Market & Customer Alignment
- Engage closely with customers to understand technical requirements and ensure specifications are met.
- Support customer trials with strong technical and commercial inputs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, partners and customers across the value chain.
Process, Cost & Commercial Optimization
- Analyze process economics, identify cost optimization opportunities, and drive efficiency improvements.
- Support negotiations with suppliers and tolling/manufacturing partners.
- Monitor competitive landscape to drive differentiation in cost, quality, and speed to market.
Reporting & Insights
- Track project progress, prepare commercialization roadmaps, and report key metrics to BU leadership.
- Provide insights on timelines, risks, and opportunities for each molecule launch.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry. MBA preferred but not mandatory. Experience:
- 5 10 years in product development, scale-up, or commercialization within pharma, agrochemicals or specialty chemicals .
- Strong understanding of KSMs, intermediates, and specialty chemicals manufacturing processes .
- Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
