Procurement Specialist

You will be responsible for Indirect Procurement at Zydus Lifesciences in Ambernath, Maharashtra. Your role will involve timely procurement of Machines & Engineering spares, consumables & services, QC consumables and equipment, Admin Services, and IT services. As the ideal candidate, you should hold a BE in Mechanical qualification with 6 to 8 years of experience in Indirect purchasing. Previous experience in the Pharma industry will be preferred. Your key responsibilities will include: - Understanding user requirements for purchasing of Spares, Machines, services, consumables, QC Chemicals & consumables, etc. - Preparing and developing bid documents to obtain competitive quotations. - Conducting techno-commercial comparison. - Converting PR to PO based on Techno-Commercial recommendation. - Ensuring timely delivery of goods. - Vendor evaluation based on performance. - Maintaining records & documentation of all solicitations, communications, contracts, and related follow-ups. To excel in this role, you are expected to possess the following competencies: - Technical understanding of Pharma Machines, Pharma consumables/Chemicals, Utility machineries (HVAC, Boiler, Water treatment, BMS), Pharma QC equipment, Power distribution (LT, HT, DG), etc. - Analytical skills to collect, compare, and relate data from various sources, identify issues, and anticipate problems. - Commercial skills including negotiation skills and knowledge of applicable taxes for purchasing goods & services. - Proficiency in computer skills such as SAP (MM module), Excel, Word, Power Point, and good typing skills. - Team skills to work collaboratively with others in a participative manner, both independently and as part of a team.,
