Procurement Intern @ The Salad House (Gurgaon) - Food Startup | Fresh, Passionate, Growing About Us: The Salad House is a growing food brand in Gurgaon serving fresh, gourmet salads made with love and high-quality ingredients. We're building a brand that people can trust — and that starts with sourcing the best ingredients every day. Note: The intern must own a two-wheeler and be comfortable with frequent visits to local mandis, including Azadpur Mandi and others in and around NCR. What You’ll Do: As our Procurement intern you'll make sure our kitchens always have the right ingredients — fresh, high-quality, and on time. You’ll manage vendor relationships, ensure cost efficiency, and help us grow a supply chain that matches our food philosophy. Your Key Responsibilities: Source and manage fruits, vegetables, proteins, dairy, and pantry items Build strong relationships with farmers, vendors, and suppliers Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules Ensure consistent quality and food safety standards Onboard and evaluate new suppliers Reduce risk by maintaining multiple supply options for key ingredients Support menu innovations with timely sourcing of new ingredients Maintain records, pricing, and inventory data Collaborate with kitchen and brand teams for smooth operations Track metrics (COGS, substitutions, etc.) and report regularly What We’re Looking For: Strong eye for quality and detail Comfortable working with data and basic tools (Excel, inventory systems) Knowledge of local sourcing, food safety, or sustainable farming is a big plus Bonus: Experience with fast-growing QSR or startup brand.
