Job Description

As a Welding Engineer (Process) in the Body Engineering Division at the Gurgaon/Manesar Plant, your role will involve working on Body in white DMU, Weld line facility planning, process study, procurement, Installation, Commissioning, SOP& Ramp-up support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Experience with Product DMU (Digital Mock-up) / BIW structure and identify Concerns regarding Manufacturability, Joining(weld spots, sealer, studs & bolts), Datums study for jigs/equipment reuse. Define Tolerance & Matching quality fit and finish. - Preparation of Weld line process plan based on Engineering and Production BOM (Bill of Material). Developing jig planning sheets & tack spots planning. - Preparation of Weld Line specification (Line Concepts, Layout, Cycle time & Man/Machine Utilization) for new model Introduction. - Planning for Material space, trolleys, supply of material to line side & material handing equipment. - Procurement ( RFQ and spec making) of weld Jigs/Equipment based on technical specifications and based on Procurement procedures. - Buy off of weld lines, mechanical, and electrical installation, audit robot programs, and line trials for product validation in coordination with other departments. - SOP & Ramp up support, line productivity & efficiency improvement. - Cost down related & Kaizen approach in working welding line solutions. **Qualification Required:** - Educational Qualification: BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automation - Experience: For Diploma (5 to 8 years) for BE/BTech (2 to 3 years) **Additional Company Details:** You should have detailed knowledge of Weld Body structure, well-versed with 2D Drawings, and exposure to 3D Jig design would be preferred. Hands-on experience with different trials during new model development is essential. Familiarity with software like MS Office, Auto CAD, Uni-graphics & simulation software like RobCAD, PD/PS, OLP(Fanuc robot) & Virtual simulation, etc. is required. Furthermore, experience in CAE analysis mechanical structures, Robot teaching (Spot welding, Handling, Sealing), and basic knowledge of Pneumatic & Hydraulics, Auto Weld Line operation will be beneficial. In terms of behavioral competencies, being target-oriented, having good analytical skills, excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills, and being a team player with networking skills are highly valued. Additionally, having the inclination to go into details of each task at hand and exposure to 5 why, 3G, and 3K analysis will be advantageous.,
