Process Engineer - Power Project

Title: Process Engineer (Engineer to Manager level) - Power Plant

About

We are looking for experienced Process Engineering professionals to support engineering and execution activities for large-scale Combined Cycle and Thermal Power Plant projects. The role involves multidisciplinary coordination across process design, proposals, vendor management, and site execution within an EPC / engineering consultancy environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review customer specifications and prepare process-related deviations and technical clarifications.
• Develop basic process design and engineering philosophies.
• Prepare process schematics, P&IDs, HBDs, and water balance diagrams.
• Perform process calculations and equipment sizing (pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.).
• Prepare process inquiry documents and purchase specifications.
• Support technical bid evaluation and vendor selection activities from a process perspective.
• Prepare and review process-related proposal documentation.
• Review and comment on vendor process drawings and documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Electrical, Piping, and Instrumentation.
• Participate in technical discussions and meetings with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Coordinate with vendors and site teams during project execution phases.
• Conduct site visits during erection and commissioning, as required.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Full-time Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute/university.
• 3+years experience in EPC or Engineering Consultancy organizations involved in process design, proposals/bidding, engineering, procurement, and construction of power plants is preferred.Strong knowledge of process systems and major power plant equipment, including Gas and Steam Turbine & Auxiliaries, Boilers / HRSG & Auxiliaries, Heat Exchangers, Balance of Plant (BOP) Systems.
• Familiarity with Indian and International codes & standards such as HIS, ASME, HEI, TEMA, NFPA, etc.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a self-driven and proactive mindset.
• Capable of working independently, taking timely technical decisions, and guiding junior engineers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to undertake short-term or long-term deputations to international offices and project sites, as required by business needs.
