Job Title: Principal – Polytechnic College

Job Summary:

The Principal serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the polytechnic college. This role involves leading, managing, and developing the institution to ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes while complying with relevant educational regulations and accreditation requirements.

Academic Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in the development and implementation of academic programs.
  • Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with industry standards, AICTE/DTE guidelines, and institutional goals.
  • Promote research, innovation, and skill development activities among faculty and students.

Administrative Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, including academic scheduling, admissions, examinations, and infrastructure management.
  • Ensure compliance with AICTE, state technical education board (DTE), and other regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of faculty and non-teaching staff.

Student Affairs:

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and student-friendly environment that promotes academic success and personal development.
  • Address student grievances and maintain discipline in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Encourage co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with industry partners, alumni, government bodies, and the local community.
  • Facilitate industry-institute collaborations, internships, and placement drives.
  • Represent the institution in academic forums, conferences, and public meetings.

Financial & Resource Management:

  • Manage budgets, ensure optimal use of resources, and oversee funding proposals or grants.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure development and maintenance projects.

Qualifications:Educational:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering/Technology with First Class.
  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (preferred or required, depending on governing body norms).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of teaching and administrative experience in technical education, including leadership roles such as HOD, Dean, or Vice Principal.
  • Proven track record of academic leadership, policy implementation, and institutional development.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making ability.
  • Knowledge of AICTE/UGC/DTE norms and accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC).
  • Strategic planning and organizational management capabilities.

Reporting To:

  • Chairman/Managing Trustee/Board of Governors

Location:

  • Aligarh/Meerut (UP)

Remuneration:

  • Commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per AICTE/State Government norms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
