Job Description

This position will be focused in the area of developing/designing and supporting:
SAP Inventory Management by evaluating business processes and recommending world class IT solutions to help streamline and provide more efficient processes for our client base.


Principal Responsibilities:

The responsible person will contribute as a key analyst supporting both production and implementation tasks/activities. The analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, planning, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing processes within a variety of business units.

  • Maintains and or improves inventory management (IM/WM) functionality by analyzing current best business practices; alongside new business design requests for modifications.

  • Must have a strong understanding of SAP ECC - PP, MM and SD modules in order to guide business process changes and configuration/development.

  • Understanding and configuration knowledge of: Labels, storage/bin locations, Goods Movement, batch/ serialization, consignment, health metrics, vendor managed solutions, carousel solutions (Inbound/Outbound interfaces), Cycle Counts, etc…

  • Experience with implementation of Batch Management and Traceability functionalities

  • Experience with implementing and support of interfaces to 3rd party logistic providers’

  • Experience with SAP IDOCS and EDI

  • Maintains active communication with business users and stakeholders to manage expectations regarding change to the system and the introduction of new and enhanced functionality.

  • Manages multiple priorities and successfully completes multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Understands when to recommend changes to a business process / policy, configuration, or customization.

  • Chair meetings with the business and technical teams to translate business requirements into working documents for functional/technical specifications.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience at an enterprise-level with strong expertise in Inventory Management (SAP –IM/WM)

  • Exceptional analytical, planning, organizational, and problem solving abilities.

  • A motivated person who can guide and influence project stakeholders, building consensus that leads to a positive outcome.

  • Expertise in requirements gathering, writing SAP requirements, process modeling, and data mapping.

  • Strong ability to present ideas and information in group settings. Has the ability to persuade, negotiate, and facilitate conflict resolution.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully defining and documenting projects that drive positive results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand.

  • Must have participated in at least two SAP full life cycle implementations.

  • Experience/knowledge with WM is a plus as is working in an Aerospace environment
