Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Principal Cloud Architect (AWS/GCP) located in Bengaluru. The Principal Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions while integrating new technologies into existing data infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining scalable cloud architectures, ensuring optimal performance and security of cloud systems, and collaborating with software development teams to design and deploy new applications. The role also involves providing technical guidance and leadership to junior team members and engaging with clients to understand and address their cloud needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their business pain points, requirements, and challenges.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions (AWS/GCP), with a focus on customer impact.
• Act as a strategic consultant, articulating solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead cloud solution design, implementation, and delivery, ensuring projects meet business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
• Mentor, inspire, and lead technical teams—establishing best practices, fostering collaboration, and supporting professional growth.
• Drive continuous improvement through proactive identification of technology trends, best practices, and process optimizations.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and architectural documentation for clients and internal teams.
• Enable competency development within Ankercloud through workshops, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
• Maintain compliance with company guidelines, policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture with a focus on AWS and
• GCP.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex cloud projects in a customer-facing,
• consultative capacity.
• Should have done e2e Migrations (e.g., On-prem to AWS/GCP, GCP to AWS, etc)
• Should have experience in Cloud modernizations, converting from monolithic to microservice architecture, landing zones, SaaS/tenant-based architecture
• Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience translating customer business needs into architectural decisions and solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
