Pricing Specialist - Sea Freight

As a Pricing Specialist in the import/export Sea Freight industry, you will play a crucial role in preparing and submitting competitive quotes. You will be responsible for liaising with shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents to secure the best rates and space availability. Your analytical skills will be utilized to study market trends, understand customer requirements, and analyze competitor pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing solutions. Supporting the sales and business development teams with rate sheets and pricing solutions will be a key aspect of your role. You will maintain updated tariffs, contracts, and rate agreements in the pricing system, ensuring accuracy in rate calculations, surcharges, and currency conversions. Building and maintaining strong vendor and carrier relationships will be essential to secure preferential pricing for the organization. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a relevant field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing, preferably in a freight forwarding environment, will be required. Good knowledge of INCOTERMS, sea and air freight terms, and shipping documentation is essential. Strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office, and pricing software tools are also necessary for this position.
