Pricing Specialist

As a Pricing Specialist in Ocean & Air Freight at FPS Logistics Pvt. Ltd., your role involves developing and managing competitive pricing strategies for both Ocean and Air freight services. Your key responsibilities will include: - Coordinating with carriers, co-loaders, shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents for best rates and space allocation. - Analyzing RFQs/RFPs and preparing timely and accurate freight quotations for global clients. - Maintaining updated rate sheets and negotiating rate contracts with shipping lines and airlines. - Supporting sales and business development teams with pricing inputs to win new business and retain existing accounts. - Tracking market trends, rate fluctuations, and competitor pricing strategies. - Liaising with overseas offices/agents to procure import/export freight rates. - Ensuring profitability by analyzing cost structures and applying appropriate margins. - Utilizing freight forwarding software, portals, and internal systems for pricing and quotation management. - Ensuring compliance with company SOPs, client-specific guidelines, and international freight standards. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Commerce. - 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the freight forwarding industry, specifically in pricing for Ocean and Air shipments. - Strong negotiation skills and industry contacts with carriers and airlines. - Excellent knowledge of global trade lanes, Incoterms, and freight documentation. - Proficiency in MS Excel, freight management systems, and quoting platforms. - Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and HS codes. - Experience with multimodal shipments, project cargo, or special equipment handling is a plus. - Ability to handle high-volume pricing requests with accuracy and speed.,
