We are looking for a Presales Engineer who can work closely with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into clear technical solutions. The role involves understanding customer applications, evaluating feasibility, and guiding them with the right combination of camera modules, embedded platforms, and integration options. This is a customer-facing position that requires strong technical judgment, clarity in communication, and the ability to align solutions with e-con Systems’ product capabilities.
• Customer Requirement Understanding: Engage with customers to understand their application, technical needs, and constraints related to sensors, interfaces, processing platforms, optics, and mechanical fitment.
• Solution Design & Technical Guidance: Recommend the right camera modules, lenses, embedded platforms (NXP i.MX, NVIDIA Jetson, Qualcomm, etc.) and provide clarity on performance, bandwidth, thermal limits, image quality, and integration feasibility.
• Technical Documentation & Proposals: Prepare solution notes, system outlines, SoW inputs, and customer-facing technical documents that clearly articulate the proposed architecture and the reasoning behind it.
• Product Evaluation & Competitive Study: Review competitor camera systems, embedded boards, and market-available products to understand positioning, feature gaps, and improvement opportunities for e-con’s roadmap.
• BOM Understanding & Cost Inputs: Support preliminary BOM-level discussions, component alternates, and feasibility checks for custom solutions without committing to engineering-level details.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, product management, and program management teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and addressed during the presales stage.
• Customer Interaction & Technical Clarifications: Participate in calls, demos, and early PoC discussions to resolve technical questions related to interfaces, image sensors, processing platforms, and system behavior.
· 3–15 years of experience in Presales, Hardware Engineering, Product Analysis, or Embedded Systems.
· Strong fundamentals in electronics, PCB architecture, interfaces, and power design.
· Ability to read schematics, understand component blocks, and evaluate system-level design.
· Exposure to reverse engineering, teardown analysis, or product benchmarking is an advantage.
· Familiarity with MIPI CSI-2, USB video, ISP concepts, image sensors, optics, and embedded platforms is preferred.
· Comfortable interacting with customers, explaining technical concepts, and preparing structured documentation.
· Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and clarity in technical communication.
· Working knowledge of camera systems, imaging basics, frame rate/pixel calculations, and signal paths.
· Understanding of embedded Linux, edge AI platforms, and thermal behavior of camera/processor systems.
· Experience handling test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or similar tools.
This role plays a key part in helping customers choose the right camera and embedded vision solution for their product. It combines technical depth with customer interaction, allowing you to influence product decisions early in the cycle and contribute directly to business success.
