Power BI Architect

OwlSurance Technologies (OST) , is a business unit of ValueMomentum Inc., that delivers cloud-based solutions to customers in P&C domain that includes Insurance carriers, MGAs, Program Administrators, etc. OST Professional Services group drives project delivery for a wide range of customers ranging from implementation of solutions leveraging ValueMomentum’s Product and Platform offerings, modern commercial off the shelf products/platforms, as well as custom built solutions and services. The project teams in this unit work closely with multiple internal teams including Product Engineering teams to deliver solutions as per ValueMomentum’s standards. Job Description: Power BI Architect is responsible for defining the architecture and Power BI solution and the related components. Power BI Architect is expected to assess the user requirements and define and execute Business Intelligence project implementation from end-to-end. Key Responsibilities: Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI Power BI development and administration Define the Architecture of the Power BI service, visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop Define the architecture of the semantic model and establish relationships Establish data level security and object level security Establish model used for self-service BI Capacity estimation and planning User management and administration Should be able to collaborate with teams to integrate systems Ability to look at various data load options and suggest an optimal way of proceeding Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation Skills and Experience 12+ years of relevant IT experience in the following areas, including implementation experience in Power BI Architecture and solutions. 7+ years of strong architecting solution experience using BI tools like Power BI and hands-on software development experience in Power BI, etc. 4+years of experience in Designing Dashboards, templates and Visuals Strong Experience in Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Synapse, Fabric Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components Great dashboarding capabilities is required. Exposure to implement row level security on the Power BI report. Expertise in writing and optimizing DAX queries, Power Queries is preferred. Understanding & knowledge of Python and Data warehouse concepts. Proficiency in building Semantic layer well in business intelligence space.
