The
Portfolio Purchasing Executive
will oversee and coordinate the purchasing function across a cluster of six Holiday Inn Express hotels
. The role ensures cost-effective procurement of products and services, compliance with IHG policies, and continuous improvement of the supply chain process. The executive will work closely with hotel teams and vendors to maximize efficiencies, drive savings, and uphold IHG s brand and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes for all 6 hotels within the portfolio.
- Source, negotiate, and contract suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Consolidate purchasing requirements across hotels to achieve economies of scale.
- Ensure compliance with IHG procurement standards, local regulations, and brand requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and vendor databases.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Explore opportunities for new vendors and cost-saving initiatives.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with Finance, F&B, Engineering, and Operations teams to support hotel needs.
- Provide guidance and support to individual hotel purchasing officers.
- Act as the liaison between hotel teams and corporate/regional procurement.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure all purchasing activities align with IHG policies and ethical standards.
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance requirements across the portfolio.
- Uphold sustainability practices in procurement (green purchasing, waste reduction).
Key Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strategic thinking with ability to optimize costs across multiple hotels.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of hospitality supply chains, preferably in IHG or branded hotels.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum
3 5 years of procurement experience
, preferably in hospitality. - Experience managing purchasing across multiple properties is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (e.g., BirchStreet, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of local and international vendors.
