Plumbing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Engineer to design, plan, and oversee plumbing systems for construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems comply with applicable codes and standards, and will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, stormwater, gas piping, etc.) for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, load estimations, and equipment sizing.
• Ensure compliance with local and international plumbing codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and material selections.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (HVAC, electrical, structural, architectural) to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve plumbing-related issues.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize cost and system performance.
• Provide technical input during procurement and assist in contractor selection.
• Prepare reports, technical documentation, and As-Built drawings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in plumbing engineering within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and plumbing design software.
• Familiar with local codes (e.g., IPC, UPC) and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
