About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for an Ops lead to anchor our player insights function and bring strategic direction to how we understand and engage with players.

This is a high-impact leadership role, where you’ll shape the research culture at Lysto, contribute directly to product and business outcomes, and work closely with global gaming clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving data-backed decisions, scaling our internal research capabilities, and guiding cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and own the end-to-end game user research function, including frameworks, methodologies, and team structure
• Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative research, including surveys, playtests, interviews, and usability studies
• Lead, coach, and grow the internal research team — defining standards and nurturing talent
• Translate complex player behavior and sentiment into actionable insights for product and business teams
• Own project timelines end-to-end, ensuring studies are delivered on time and with impact
• 
  
• Collaborate with Sales and BD teams to support pre-sales research conversations and proposals
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to embed research across the development lifecycle
• Present research outcomes clearly to both internal and external stakeholders
• Represent Lysto’s voice in industry thought leadership — from playtesting innovation to player-centered design
• Build and maintain relationships with external studios, publishers, and clients as a trusted research advisor

Required Qualifications:

• A seasoned researcher with 5+ years in game user research or related roles
• Strong knowledge of player behavior, user psychology, and how games are built
• Hands-on experience with both qual and quant methods — you know when to run interviews and when to run surveys
• Someone who’s led or mentored teams and knows how to bring out the best in others
• Great at communicating insights clearly to different audiences — from product teams to clients
• Comfortable in client-facing settings, especially during pre-sales or strategy discussions
• Organized, self-driven, and thrives in remote, fast-paced work environments
• A plus if you’ve spoken at events or contributed to thought leadership in gaming or UX research
