Job Description

Position: Plant Safety Support (Line 2)

Designation: Officer - Senior Executive

Function: Manufacturing – EHS

Place: Umrongso (L2), Assam

Credentials: B.Sc. (PCM) / B.Tech / DE and Post Graduate Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety

Responsibilities:

•Extend support to the Site Safety Lead towards monitoring & assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personal safety.

•Assist the Safety Lead in ascertaining the budget amount required to ensure smooth functioning of the plant and for complying with EHS and other safety norms

•Contribute in toolbox talks and work along with the Safety Lead to collect feedback from the shop-floor staff to get acquainted with their apprehensions about occupational hazards

•Inspections of Workplaces including equipment, Tools, Tackles material, PPEs, Fire extinguishers etc. as required in line with safety standards and procedures.

•Conduct regular inspections of the plant to assure safe and healthy conditions for engaged manpower

•Field visit observations reporting and follow-up for compliance.

•Checking Work permits, WPRA, Lifting plans and applicable safety documents as applicable.

•Inspection of critical activities like confined space, hot work, LOTOTO, Road and transport, work at height etc. in line with safety standards and procedures.

•Reporting and participating in incident reporting and investigation.

•Ensure appropriate safety signs have been installed across the plant premises

•Ensure all government regulations and legal requirements are adhered to while manufacturing activities are undertaken within the plant

•Support in conducting safety awareness events like Fire Day, National Safety Day, Road Safety Week, World Environment Day etc. in the plant premises

•Should be aware about emergency preparedness and first aid.
