Plant Repair and Maintenance Head - Cable Manufacturing

Lead a section of the plant maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive approach, multi - skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. This includes total preventive maintenance, managing breakdowns. Includes people management and budgetary/ cost reporting.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals.
• Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering system. Scheduling of works maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.
• Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Input and hold responsibility for maintenance cost. Attend various meeting and action/ communicate instructions.
• Manage and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Contribute to achieving of department objectives / KPIs and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Understanding of Advanced Maintenance, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Major maintenance overhaul and driving Autonomous Maintenance.

Critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques. Equipment standardization.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.

Understanding of QMS, EMS, EnMS, OH &S

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to manage a variety of cross -functional team members.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Extensive plant level experience with significant people management experience, technical capability and understanding. B. E/B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical/ Production / Industrial) with 15+ years of work experience in manufacturing/Production industry.
