Job Description

Ideal Candidate:

Position: Plant Coal Procurement Lead - 2 Vacancies

Designation: Deputy Manager / Manager

Function: Commercial

1. Responsibilities:

End-to-end responsibility for ensuring & meeting of fuel (coal) requirements for the Unit
Assist the central coal procurement team in monitoring the availability of bulk coal supplies for the Unit at optimum cost keeping in mind quality requirements
Work towards saving against LPP, through increasing of Vendor/Supplier Base
Gather market intelligence on coal prices, and use market knowledge to minimize cost of coal as well as get a jump on long lead items to minimize expedite charges
Verification of material documents, maintaining MIS of material receipts, creation of material purchase orders & processing of vendor invoices.
Coordination with cross functional teams for timely delivery of material as per Plant requirement
Reduce transit pilferages
Ensure strict adherence to Coal Procurement SOP, and assist in periodic internal audits to ensure that purchasing processes and procedures are followed.
Responsible for all local coal procurement, including with liaising and negotiation with local supplier / vendors & other community members for smooth arrival of material at plant.
Assist the central team to procure coal through e-auction, e-commerce and e-bidding routes
Follow up with finance for timely payment of suppliers
Stock report and MIS circulation on daily basis
