Planning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to oversee production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation for ongoing and upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely execution, optimize inventory levels, and manage manpower effectively to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed production plans based on project requirements and timelines.
• Allocate and monitor manpower, materials, and machine resources efficiently to achieve daily and weekly targets.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for inventory planning and material availability.
• Track work progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.
• Ensure proper documentation of materials issued and consumed for each project.
• Analyze production capacity, lead times, and bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
• Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and reports.
• Maintain close coordination with production, quality, maintenance, and project management teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Assist in resource planning and manpower deployment as per workload and project priorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning, inventory control, and manpower handling (preferably in a project-based or manufacturing environment).
• Strong understanding of production workflows, inventory systems, and shop floor operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP or planning software.
• Good communication and coordination skills for interdepartmental and shop floor interactions.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
