Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Own the planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all E&I assets to maximize equipment reliability, ensure statutory compliance, and optimize maintenance cost and downtime. Acts as the central point between Maintenance, Operations, Stores, and Projects for E&I work orders and shutdowns.

    a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Maintenance Planning & Scheduling - Convert E&I maintenance requests into work orders; define scope, tasks, labor hours, parts, tools, permits, and sequence. - Build and publish weekly/biweekly E&I schedules; level resources; align with operations windows and production plans. - Plan shutdown/turnaround E&I activities (job packs, spares, scaffolding/access, test equipment, contractors). Preventive/Predictive Programs - Develop and update PM/PdM routines for MCCs, switchgear, motors, drives, UPS, PLC/DCS, field instruments, analyzers, and protective relays. - Coordinate condition monitoring (IR thermography, vibration where relevant, insulation resistance, loop checks, calibration). Materials & Spares Management - Create and maintain BOMs, min/max levels, and critical spares lists; raise reservations/requisitions; track delivery and kitting. - Validate alternates and obsolescence plans; work with vendors for technical clarifications and NCR closures. Work Preparation & Quality - Issue job packs with drawings, singleline diagrams (SLDs), loop sheets, P&IDs, cause&effect matrices, isolation plans (LOTO), and test sheets. - Ensure QA/QC of completed jobs—functional tests, calibrations, interlock verifications, and documentation closure in the CMMS. Compliance & Safety - Embed electrical safety rules, LOTO, arcflash boundaries, hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) requirements, and instrument calibration traceability. - Maintain statutory records (earth resistance, transformer testing, breaker timing, relay settings) and audit readiness. Cost & KPI Management - Track maintenance budgets, job actuals, wrenchtime, and schedule compliance; drive RCA and continuous improvement. - Report weekly/monthly dashboards for E&I asset performance and PM effectiveness. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination - Align daily priorities with Production, Reliability, and HSE; coordinate OEMs/contractors; manage SLAs and service reports.

Qualifications and Experience


    - Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent). - Experience: 4–8 years in E&I maintenance planning in process/continuous manufacturing (cement/chemicals/metals/FMCG/energy). - Certifications (Preferred): Electrical safety/LOTO, PLC/DCS fundamentals, calibration/metrology, condition monitoring (IR/vibration).
