Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pipeline Engineer located in Ranchi. The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining pipeline systems. Day-to-day tasks include pipeline design, monitoring pipeline integrity, performing calculations, and ensuring corrosion control. The Pipeline Engineer will work closely with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet all regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop offshore pipeline systems including route selection, wall thickness, and material specifications
• Perform stress analysis, stability calculations, cathodic protection and span assessments using industry-standard software
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation including pipeline alignment sheets, crossing drawings, and installation procedures
• Collaborate with geotechnical, structural, and subsea teams to ensure safe and efficient pipeline design
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with international standards (DNV, API, ASME, ISO)
• Support pipeline installation activities including trenching, laying, and commissioning
• Monitor pipeline integrity and participate in inspection, maintenance, and repair planning
• Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies throughout project lifecycle
• Utilize tools such as AutoPIPE, Caesar II, GIS, and offshore simulation software

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, or Offshore Engineering (master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in offshore pipeline engineering within the oil & gas sector
• Strong understanding of offshore construction methods and subsea infrastructure
• Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., AutoPIPE, Caesar II, OrcaFlex)
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (DNVGL-ST-F101, API 1111, ASME B31.8)
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills
• Willingness to travel offshore or internationally as required
