Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Reservoir Analysis and Planning:
Analyzing geological data and reservoir characteristics to determine the best methods and locations for oil and gas extraction.
Drilling and Extraction Design:
Designing drilling plans, equipment, and techniques for safely and efficiently extracting resources from both conventional and unconventional sources.
Production and Operations Management:
Overseeing drilling and production operations to ensure equipment functions properly, production goals are met, and facilities operate safely.
Enhanced Recovery:
Developing and implementing enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods to increase production from existing or older wells.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Working closely with geologists, other engineers, field teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless and effective project execution.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
Ensuring that all operations adhere to strict safety standards and environmental regulations to minimize the ecological impact of extraction.
Economic Evaluation:
Conducting economic feasibility studies and cost analyses to ensure projects are profitable.
Technical Reporting:
Preparing detailed technical reports and presentations to document findings, progress, and recommendations.

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or a closely related field is typically required.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving abilities to assess complex situations and devise innovative solutions.
