Petroleum Engineer

Role Overview: You will be working as a Petroleum Engineer at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune, responsible for applying broad petroleum engineering experience and utilizing innovative digital and data science technologies to deliver system monitoring, optimization, and capacity growth across the 4-chokes (Reservoir-Wells-Plant-Export). You will have the opportunity to collaborate with global teams to support safe, reliable, and optimized production operations. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with global regions using petroleum engineering methods, numerical modeling, and data analytics to partner with asset teams for safe and optimized production. - Deliver on HSE commitments, identify carbon reduction opportunities, and demonstrate safety leadership behaviors. - Communicate effectively across disciplines, leadership, and asset engineering squads. - Perform surveillance and monitoring of integrated production systems to understand well and reservoir health and performance. - Create and maintain numerical models, data analysis, and visualization tools for surveillance and optimization. - Optimize production systems for safe, reliable, low carbon operations and identify opportunities for capacity growth. - Provide technical coaching to asset squad members and contribute to improving the Petroleum Discipline and Production Management capability. - Share monitoring and optimization lessons learned with the wider bp community. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/masters degree in engineering or science. - Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Petroleum Engineer with expertise in production management and operations engineering. - Uphold and demonstrate safety leadership behaviors. - Broad production operations experience with a track record of delivery and integration across Reservoir, Wells, Plant, and Export. - Working knowledge of Petroleum Engineering toolkit including Integrated Production Modelling and experience in data analytics. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Ability to manage multiple activities, respond to changing priorities, and cope with deadlines. - Strong desire to further develop and learn new skills.
