Objectives of this role
Conducting reservoir analysis to assess oil and gas reserves and optimise production strategies.
Designing and implementing well completions, workovers and stimulation treatments.
Collaborating with geoscientists and other engineers to develop and implement reservoir management plans.
Monitoring and analysing well performance, production rates, and reservoir behaviour.
Conducting economic evaluations to assess the feasibility of drilling and production projects.
Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Your tasks.
Plan and oversee drilling operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Design and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods to maximise extraction.
Analyse data from well tests, production logs, and reservoir simulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to regulate field development plans.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to field operations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential issues.
Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies and best practices in petroleum engineering.

Required skills and qualifications.Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.5+ years in the oil and gas industry with 3+ years of working experience as a petroleum engineer.Solid knowledge of reservoir engineering, well completions, and production optimisation.Proficiency in reservoir simulation, modelling software, and drilling operations.Knowledge of geological data and industry-related safety protocols.Knowledge of oil and gas storage and transportation systems.Experience in developing plans for maintaining and repairing oil and gas equipment.Skilled in data analysis to determine the most efficient oil and gas extraction methods.Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Effective people and teamwork skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred skills and qualifications.Advanced degree or diploma in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineers (PE) licence or relevant certifications.Familiarity with unconventional reservoirs and shale oil/gas.Understanding of environmental and sustainability practices in the oil and gas industry.Experience in oil and gas industry-specific software, standards and databases.
