People Partner

As a People Business Partner, your role involves strategic partnering with senior leaders to align people strategies with business goals and objectives. You will create collaborative and consultative relationships with senior leaders to drive organizational success. Your responsibilities will include: - Consulting and coaching senior leaders on people-related matters - Enabling business change through effective people strategies - Advocating for people solutions that support business objectives - Partnering with talent management and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives such as workforce planning, hi-potential talent development, and succession planning In addition to the key responsibilities mentioned, it is expected that as a Professional stream individual contributor, your primary focus will be on applying technical or discipline knowledge to achieve results rather than managing people directly. However, you may be involved in coaching or mentoring less experienced staff, providing informal supervision, or overseeing the work of other professionals. Your individual work may range from setting objectives and delivering on your own responsibilities to becoming a leading expert in your field and influencing long-term tactical decisions within the organization. Progression within this role will depend on your increasing depth of professional knowledge, project management skills, and ability to influence others. As a People Business Partner, you are expected to have in-depth knowledge and experience in your functional area. You will regularly apply your subject matter expertise to solve common business issues within established practices and procedures. While you may handle most situations independently, you may seek advice and guidance on more complex or non-routine topics. Leaders at your level are accountable for the performance and results of teams comprising less experienced professionals, frontline workers, and admins. You will need to adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges effectively.
