Job Description

About the Role:

Payroll Executive

Key Responsibilities:

Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary revisions, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements like EPF, ESIC, TDS, etc.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and reconciliations to finance and HR departments.
Manage payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs such as attendance, leave records, and benefits.
Liaise with external vendors (e.g., payroll software providers, auditors) as needed.
Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll.
Generate payslips and other statutory documentation for employees.
Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

1 - 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
Strong understanding of payroll systems and labor laws.
Proficiency in payroll software.
Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of statutory filing portals and online compliance tools.
Certification in Payroll is an advantage.
