Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management

• Process end-to-end monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
• Handle salary structure, TDS, PF, ESI, professional tax, and other statutory deductions
• Generate payslips, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with labour laws
• Coordinate with HR for attendance, leaves, new joiners, and exits
• Prepare and file monthly returns for TDS, PF, ESI, etc.
• Address employee queries related to salary, tax, and reimbursements

Accounts & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally or other software
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledgers
• Assist in preparation of GST returns, TDS returns, and financial reports
• Support the audit process and assist in statutory compliance
• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, and bills

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.)
• Good accounting knowledge with experience in Tally or similar accounting software
• Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information
• Ability to manage timelines and multitask effectively

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in payroll and accounting (preferably in CA firm or consultancy)
